Dear Warner Families,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year!
It is with incredible excitement and renewed purpose that I welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year! I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable summer. We are thrilled to welcome both new and returning students to Warner this year.
 
Our staff has been working diligently to prepare our classrooms and curriculum for a year filled with learning, growth, and fun. We are committed to providing a supportive and engaging environment where every student can thrive and inspire.

As we embark on this new journey together, my word for the year is "inspire". This word is not just a personal goal; it's a commitment to our shared vision, one that aligns directly with LAUSD's five pillars.
This year, we will work to inspire in every facet of our school community:
  • Academic Excellence: We will inspire curiosity and a lifelong love of learning in every student. By providing rigorous and engaging instruction, we will help our Wildcats develop the critical thinking and foundational skills they need to thrive. Our teachers will be catalysts, igniting a passion for knowledge that propels every student toward success.
  • Joy and Wellness: We will inspire a school environment where every child feels safe, seen, and supported. By fostering a sense of community and focusing on social-emotional learning, we will create a place where students are happy to come to school, eager to learn, and empowered to express themselves. A joyful school is an inspiring school.
  • Engagement and Collaboration: We will inspire a strong partnership between our school, our families, and the wider community. We know that when we work together, our students benefit most. We will seek your input, celebrate our successes together, and collaborate to ensure every Wildcat has the resources and support they need to succeed.
  • Operational Effectiveness: We will inspire confidence in our systems and processes. By managing our resources efficiently and creating a safe and well-maintained campus, we free up our staff to focus on what matters most: our students. An organized and effective school is a place that inspires trust and allows for innovation.
  • Investing in Staff: We will inspire and support our incredible teachers and staff. We will provide opportunities for professional growth, celebrate their dedication, and ensure they have the tools and resources to be exceptional educators. By inspiring our staff, we in turn empower them to inspire our students.

This year, let's lead by example. Let's show our Wildcats what it means to be a leader—not just in the classroom, but in our friendships, our families, and our community. We have the power to create a positive ripple effect, and I am confident that together, we can make this a truly remarkable and inspiring year for everyone at Warner Avenue Elementary.
