Dress Code
Warner Avenue School Student Dress Code
All students are expected to exemplify proper grooming standards in a manner that projects an appropriate image for the student, family, and school. The dress code standards also promote safety for our young, exuberant learners.
Hats
- may not be worn indoors
- may be worn outside for sun protection
Earrings
- only studs or hoops no larger than one-quarter diameter are permitted
Shoes
- must be closed at the heel and toe
- must have rubber soles
- must have laces or Velcro closures
- No slip-ons, sandals, flip-flops, boots, or “Uggs” are allowed.
- If rain boots are worn during rainy weather, pack tennis shoes to be worn at PE lesson. Physical education occurs daily.
- footwear may not have heels higher than one inch
Shirts
- may not expose a bare midriff
- must fall below the waist
- may not have spaghetti straps
- halter tops are not permitted
Basketball jerseys /athletic style tank-tops
- with exaggerated armholes are not allowed without wearing a t-shirt under them
Logos deemed inappropriate are not appropriate.
Pants/shorts
- no low-rise pants or shorts
- must be worn at the waist
Shorts, skirts, and skorts
- must fall equal to or lower than the child’s own arm length
Underclothing may not be visible
